CEDRIC STATON, LPCC
Therapist & Forensic Consultant
With a wealth of experience in forensic psychology, my practice offers specialized support to individuals who have interacted with the legal system, whether through past incarceration, ongoing legal issues, or court-ordered treatment. My approach is compassionate and tailored, aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by this population, such as reintegration into society, coping with the psychological impact of legal stressors, and meeting the requirements of mandated therapy. I collaborate closely with legal professionals to ensure a holistic treatment plan that not only fulfills legal obligations but also promotes personal growth and mental well-being.
In addition to post-incarceration and court-related support, I also conduct psychological evaluations for immigration-related legal proceedings. These include assessments for asylum, hardship waivers (I-601/A), U-visas, T-visas, VAWA petitions, and cancellation of removal. My evaluation process is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and deeply respectful of each individual’s lived experience. I am particularly experienced in working with individuals and families whose identities or relationships may fall outside traditional definitions—such as LGBTQ+ individuals, survivors of gender-based violence, or those with chosen families and non-nuclear support systems.
Whether you are navigating the complexities of immigration court or addressing psychological needs post-incarceration, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for healing and clarity. I believe in ethical and informed therapeutic interventions that empower clients through every step of their legal journey. My role is not only to assess but to affirm—to help clients tell their story, meet legal criteria, and move forward with dignity.
